Pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds provide lower fat, higher protein, vitamin E, magnesium and potassium. (Magnesium is involved in the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. It helps genes function properly. Some fuels cannot be stored in our muscle cells unless adequate supplies of magnesium are available.) Sweetened with date molasses, another natural source of potassium.
